Installing and Updating LeechGet

Installing LeechGet

Download the LeechGet installation package if you haven't already. On Windows NT and Windows 2000 systems, login with Administrator privileges. If possible, close all instances of the Internet Explorer. Run LeechGet.exe and follow the instructions. You may want to keep the installation package in case you need to reinstall LeechGet later.

To start LeechGet, press the system-wide Hotkey CTRL+ALT+L

LeechGet should automatically adapt to your local language (if a suitable Language Pack is available). If not, have a look at the Options Dialog, tab "Additional" and select your language or check http://www.leechget.net for new Language Packs!.

Updating LeechGet

LeechGet comes with an automatic update utility. You can start this utility by clicking on 'Extras|Check for Updates' in the main menu. If not configured otherwise, the LeechGet Update Wizard automatically seeks for updates at LeechGet startup.
You can as well check out the LeechGet Homepage for updates and additional information about LeechGet and new releases.

Add-Ons

If you like to use LeechGet in combination with the Opera, Mozilla or Netscape Browser, you can download a Plug-In for this browser from the LeechGet website. This Plug-In allows you to transfer Downloads directly from your browser to LeechGet so that LeechGet automatically catches all incoming transfers.
Visit http://www.leechget.net to learn more about this plug-in and to get information about how to install and use it.
